Astressin 

 

A new CRFantagonist (cyclo(30/33). If injected into the CSF at low doses (1-10ug) has an antagonistic action against CRF and stress-related alterations of gastrointestinal motor function, without an intrinsic effect in these in vivo systems. It is ~100times more potent than a-helical CRF (9-41) at inhibiting ACTH secretion in vitro.
