Spotlight on New Partner: ABD Bioquest

American Peptide Company is constantly pursuing opportunities to develop new technologies through partnerships and alliances in order to build our technology portfolio to offer a wider range of products to our customers.

Recently, we entered into a partnership with ABD Bioquest, specialized in the area of photometric detections including absorption (color), fluorescence and luminescence technologies. We are working with ABD Bioquest to develop dye-bonded peptides and fluorescent peptides. These compounds are useful tools for biotech research, and are used to study protein interactions and in protein kinase detection, among other applications.

The collaboration between APC and ABD focuses on the Quest View™ protease detection platform. The Quest View™ protease detection technology has been proven to a sensitive and robust tool for life science research, drug discovery and disease diagnostics. APC-ABD collaboration has great synergies given that APC has great expertise in peptide design and synthesis while ABD Bioquest has developed the best FRET peptide building blocks: Tide Quenchers™ and Tide Fluors™ dyes. Tide Quenchers™ and Tide Fluors™ dyes have been successfully used in HIV and HCV research, and being expanded into other infectious disease research through APC-ABD collaboration.

We’ll keep you up to date as we work with ABD Bioquest to commercialize these applications and introduce them on the market.
