DPP-4

Also called dipeptidyl peptidase-4

DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) is an enzyme that rapidly degrades incretin hormones such as GLP-1. Resistance to DPP-4 cleavage is engineered into long-acting incretin analogs to extend their half-life.
