GIP

Also called glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide

GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) is an incretin that, alongside GLP-1, enhances insulin secretion. Dual GLP-1/GIP agonists such as tirzepatide engage both pathways for greater metabolic effect.
