Reconstitution

Also called reconstitute · mixing

Reconstitution is the process of dissolving a lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide in a sterile diluent — typically bacteriostatic water — to produce a solution of known concentration for research handling. The diluent volume added to a given vial mass sets the resulting concentration.
