Neuropeptide

Neuropeptides are peptides that function as neuromodulators or neurotransmitters in the central or peripheral nervous system. They regulate a wide range of functions including mood, pain, appetite, and cognition. Semax and selank are studied as synthetic neuropeptides with proposed effects on anxiety, cognition, and BDNF expression.
