Ac-SDKP

Also called N-acetyl-seryl-aspartyl-lysyl-proline

Ac-SDKP (N-acetyl-seryl-aspartyl-lysyl-proline) is a naturally occurring tetrapeptide cleaved from the N-terminus of thymosin β4 by prolyl oligopeptidase. It inhibits NF-κB signaling, suppresses TGF-β-driven fibrosis, and may protect against cardiac and renal fibrotic remodeling. Its activity is mechanistically distinct from the actin-sequestering function of the full-length Tβ4 molecule.
