Also called immunomodulation · immunomodulatory
Immune modulation refers to the targeted adjustment of immune activity, contrasted with broad immunosuppression or uncontrolled immunostimulation. Immunomodulatory peptides such as thymosin α1 can restore appropriate immune responses in immunocompromised states, while anti-inflammatory peptides like KPV can dampen excess inflammation without global immune suppression.
