Ghrelin

Also called hunger hormone · acylated ghrelin

Ghrelin is a 28-amino-acid peptide secreted primarily by the stomach. It is the endogenous ligand for GHS-R1a (the ghrelin receptor) and stimulates GH release, appetite, and gut motility. Synthetic GHRPs mimic ghrelin at GHS-R1a to elevate endogenous GH.
