VEGF

Also called vascular endothelial growth factor · VEGFR2

VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) is a signaling protein that stimulates angiogenesis — the growth of new blood vessels from existing ones. It acts through VEGF receptors (notably VEGFR2) on endothelial cells. Upregulation of the VEGFR2 pathway is one of the proposed mechanisms of BPC-157 in tissue-repair models.
